Katsuro Yoshida
Katsuro Yoshida (1943-1999) is a central figure in the Mono-ha movement that emerged in the late 1960s. From his earliest period, he created prints using photographs. From the mid-1970s, he explored painting through drawings of landscape fragments and transfers of objects. In the 1980s, he produced the "Kagero" series, a set of paintings that abstracted landscapes and bodies. Later, he vigorously worked on the "Touch" series, drawn by rubbing graphite with his hands, until his untimely death at 55. This exhibition marks the first retrospective of Katsuro Yoshida. It follows his work to provide a comprehensive view of his artistic journey.
