Go To Travel - Travels of Artists

Kawara Museum of Takahama City, a Hometown of Ceramics
Finished
The exhibition will feature prints, paintings, and photographs from the museum collection that are particularly associated with place names, including Kawase Tomosui's "Tabimiyage No. 3" series of woodblock prints depicting the landscape of the Taisho and Showa periods.

As a way to get a more physical sense of the lands that drew the artist to them, the exhibition will be divided into chapters by the main public transportation used to reach the lands that were the subject of the works, such as "travel by conventional train," "travel by bullet train," and "travel by airplane," tracing them using distance as a keyword.

To visit a place is to learn about its history, culture, and the existence of others.
