Friday Road Show and Ghibli Exhibition

Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design
FinishedReservation Required
Since its establishment in 1985, Studio Ghibli has produced several animation masterpieces, mainly directed by Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki. Behind the widespread popularity of these works and the fact that they have become beloved throughout Japan is the long-running "Friday Road Show" on Nippon Television Network Corporation.

Since the first broadcast of "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" in 1986, many Studio Ghibli works have been repeatedly shown on TV and brought to the Japanese people. It is a special experience for many people all over Japan to watch the same work at the same time.

This exhibition introduces the charms of Studio Ghibli films such as "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind," "My Neighbor Totoro," "The Witch's Delivery Service," "Princess Mononoke," and "Spirited Away," along with memories of the time they were shown on the "Friday Road Show.

At the exhibition, secrets of the films that have never been told will be revealed, and various spaces will be created to allow visitors to dive into the world of the films.

*This exhibition is "by appointment only". Please purchase a date/time-specific ticket in advance before visiting the exhibition. For details, please check the official website.
