Yokosuka Museum of Art
Starts 4/19
Narukawa Art Museum will hold an exhibition of Japanese-style paintings from its collection as the third installment of the Hakone-Yokosuka collaboration project launched in 2023 under the slogan “Linking Mountains and Ocean through Art.
Narukawa Art Museum is one of the leading museums specializing in Japanese painting, with a collection of approximately 4,000 modern and contemporary Japanese paintings.

This exhibition introduces a selection of approximately 50 works by outstanding Japanese painters such as Kyujin Yamamoto, Takehiko Mori, Yoshihiko Yoshida, Ikuo Hirayama, Kazuho Hieda, Fumiko Hori, and Reiji Hiramatsu, as well as works related to Kanagawa Prefecture. This exhibition provides visitors with a broad overview of the Narukawa Art Museum collection, including its origins, characteristics, and appeal. We hope you will spend a rich spring time at the seaside museum, enjoying the sparkle of Japanese paintings.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the Narukawa Museum of Art will sell original museum goods at its store, and other cooperative projects will be carried out to promote the appeal of both museums.
