This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, which caused extensive damage to the Kanto region. This exhibition introduces the Great Kanto Earthquake and its reconstruction, earthquake disaster prevention research over the past 100 years, and current disaster countermeasures and their challenges. The exhibition considers the relationship between people, nature, and science and technology, and the importance of learning from the past and passing it on to the future.
