'Advertising Parco' 1960-2024 Parco Advertisement Exhibition

Nagoya Parco
Finished
This exhibition commemorates the 35th anniversary of Nagoya Parco. Highly acclaimed at Shibuya Parco last year, this exhibition showcases the history of Parco's advertising expressions.

The exhibition reinterprets the over half-century history of our advertising creativity from a contemporary perspective, providing a comprehensive overview. Although advertising is a form of promotion and a means to boost sales, Parco's advertising has transcended mere commercial expression by collaborating with top creators of each era for over 50 years.

The venue is organized into four sections, tracing back through the decades: "2000s and beyond," "1990s," "1980s," and "1970s." This arrangement allows visitors to glimpse the origins of Parco's advertising. For each era, hypothetical keywords corresponding to the spirit of the times have been set: "Prophecy" (1970s), "Advertising" (1980s), "Shibuya" (1990s), and "Art" (2000s and beyond).

Posters and commercial works on display have been selected through discussions with two guest curators for each section. These discussions will be screened at the exhibition venue and published in the official leaflet for sale at the exhibition.
