50th Anniversary of the Passing of Chihiro Iwasaki

Chihiro Art Museum Azumino
Finished

Artists

Chihiro Iwasaki, Plaplax
In the paintings of Chihiro Iwasaki, children are seen playing with anything and everything. Some make stuffed animals their friends, some play in puddles on rainy days, and there are even those who enjoy cleaning as a form of play. While playing, children explore the world and acquire knowledge.

In this exhibition, viewing paintings in the museum becomes a form of "play." In addition to interactive works by the art unit Plaplax, Iwasaki's paintings are interpreted from the perspective of developmental psychology. Both children and adults who were once children can enjoy the relaxed world of Chihiro Iwasaki while also reflecting on children and play. It's an exhibition where visitors can rethink the present and future of children, all while enjoying Chihiro's world.
