The Museum of Art, Kochi opened on November 3, 1993, with the opening commemorative exhibition "Ark of Art". The museum set sail with the hopes of the art-loving citizens of the prefecture in its wake.
The Kochi Prefectural Art Museum will now use all of its exhibition rooms to present the essence of the collection that has been built up over the past 30 years and to show how the "Ark" has sailed over the past 30 years.
