Featuring works from the Oketa Collection assembled over the past 20 years by the fashion entrepreneurs Shunji and Asako Oketa. The first half of the exhibition, "Mariage – From Antiques to Contemporary Art," will display approximately 40 pieces including new works and those exhibited for the first time. Divided into three themes ("Body," "Monochrome," and "Color”), the show encompasses ceramics from Korea’s Joseon Dynasty, works by leading Japanese ceramic artists such as Rosanjin Kitaoji, Kanjiro Kawai, and Mineo Okabe, and the contemporary art of figures including Kohei Nawa, KAWS, TIDE, Daniel Arsham, and Tschabalala Self. By "marrying" works from diverse countries, periods, and practices in a single space, the show gives visitors the opportunity to discover new charms in these works. The second half of the exhibition, “Yes You Can – The Power of Life through Art" is scheduled to run August 6 (Sat) to October 16 (Sun), 2022. Details about the second half and events to be held during the exhibition will be announced as they become available.
