This exhibition focuses on Japanese history, featuring works by Katsushika Hokusai and his pupils that portray historical figures and events. The exhibition mainly focuses on figures and events taught in Japanese history classes at high school, but also includes works portraying events going as far as the Azuchi-Momoyama period (1573-1603) to the Meiji period (1868-1912).
