Nakatsu City Kimura Memorial Art Museum

It was established in 1989 as a private art museum by Dr. Mataro Kimura in Nakatsu City. In October 2010, it was opened as Nakatsu's permanent exhibition facility as the city purchased and developed it. A large number of artworks were donated to the collection, including paintings by the renowned Japanese Western-style artist Tadahiko Nakayama.

Artworks related to Nakatsu's heritage and works by local artists are presented at the museum. The exhibits are periodically changed based on themes and planned content.
