Museum of Modern Art, Gunma

The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma opened in the autumn of 1974 in the lush greenery of Gunma-no-Mori Park. The museum collects and exhibits outstanding works of modern art from overseas, including Renoir, Monet, and Picasso, as well as modern and contemporary art from Japan and art related to Gunma. Additionally, the museum houses the Tohoan Inoue Collection, which focuses on Japanese and Chinese antiques, and holds themed exhibitions four times a year. The museum hosts a variety of events such as lectures, workshops, and museum concerts to encourage visitors to become more familiar with the arts.
