Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum

The Edo-Tokyo Open Air Museum opened on March 28, 1993. Located in the Koganei Metropolitan Park, the park covers an area of approximately 7 hectares, with 30 restored buildings dating from the Edo period to the mid-Showa period. Historical buildings of high cultural value that cannot be preserved on-site are relocated, restored, preserved, and exhibited, with the aim of passing them on as valuable cultural heritage to the next generation.
