Fukushima Prefectural Museum of Art

Our Museum is located in Fukushima City, at the foot of Mt. Shinobu, a symbol to the city. It opened its doors in 1984 along with Fukushima Prefectural Library on a wide site of over sixty thousands square meters. The Museum building is independent from the Library with its own grounds and gardens. Many people acclaim its beauty. The Museum was built in order to acquire and exhibit fine works of modern and contemporary arts to inform the public of the exhibitions.
