Yasunari Murakami
Naturalist Yasunari Murakami is popular across generations. Clear skies, gentle breezes, Yamame swimming in clear streams... As one flips through Murakami's illustrated books, one is gently drawn into a tranquil space, eventually feeling as if they are transforming into the protagonists of the stories.

From a young age, Murakami developed an affinity for rivers, encountering sparkling Yamame that captivated his heart. Eventually, based on the realism ingrained in nature, pursuing the expression of picture books and paintings became his life's work. The simplicity of color and form, dynamic page layouts, and unique composition utilizing whitespace are the essence of Murakami's work.

This exhibition introduces approximately 230 pieces, including original illustrations from popular series such as "Yamame's Pink Series," "Pink! Pearl!," and "It's Kuma-Kun." It covers Murakami's creative world, encompassing magazines, book covers, original merchandise, and more.
