Japanese cuisine, or "washoku," is a cultural treasure that Japan proudly shares with the world. Food is not only essential for our survival but also one of life's pleasures. This exhibition explores the enjoyment of food in the Edo period through ukiyo-e prints featuring famous eateries, popular Japanese foods like soba, and unique local specialties from various travel destinations, revealing how people in the Edo period delighted in their culinary experiences.

AccessFrom Ujiie Station on the JR Utsunomiya line, take the Kanto bus for 60 minutes towards Batoshako and get off at Muromachi (Nakagawamachi). The venue is 3 minute walk from there. From Karasuyama Station on the JR Karasuyama line, take the Nakagawamachi Community bus towards Nakagawamachiyakuba and get off at Muromachi. The venue is 3 minute walk from there.
