Minatomachi Potluck Building will be launching a project titled "Art and Common Table."

Over the past nine years, the art program in the harbor town has unfolded numerous projects, collaborating with artists and various creators. This includes exhibitions, workshops, events such as talks, and initiatives utilizing vacant houses.

The term "Table" encompasses not only a physical "desk" but also the meanings of "food/gathering of people around the table/placing things on the table/thinking space." Just as the word "Table" holds diverse meanings, the art program aims to become a medium with various significances and expressions within the town's development. This project will showcase works that have been connected to the harbor town, set up a large table, and create a space for workshops, dialogues, and gatherings where children, residents, and visitors can come together to contemplate and create around the concept of the "Common" – shared assets.
