Hiroshige Utagawa
This is an ukiyo-e print exhibition focusing on the "people" who lived joyfully in the world of ukiyo (the "now" of the Edo period), with the works of Hiroshige Utagawa at its center.

Hiroshige Utagawa's masterpiece, the Hoeido edition of "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido," evokes the excitement of travel, while other popular works such as "Scenes of Famous Places in Kyoto" and "Illustrations of Famous Places in Osaka" convey the excitement (emotions) experienced when encountering famous landmarks. Additionally, this exhibition will feature works by other ukiyo-e artists of the Utagawa school such as Kunisada, Yoshiyuki, and Sadahide, as well as works by Hiroshige II and Hiroshige III, who succeeded Hiroshige's name. A total of 55 ukiyo-e prints will be displayed in this exhibition.

Experience the joyful lives of the people of the Edo period as they enjoyed traveling and festivals through the original ukiyo-e prints produced during that time.
