At the Shiseido Art House, the latter half of this year will feature an exhibition showcasing a wide range of the museum's collections.

The exhibition is divided into three sections, with the main attraction being the "Vintage Perfume Bottle Masterpieces Exhibition 2024 - Focusing on Lalique, Baccarat, and Viard." This section highlights the allure of perfume bottles, which can be considered gems of commercial art. The perfume bottles, crafted for leading perfume merchants in Paris between the late 19th century and the 1940s, are significant not only for their artistic value but also from the perspectives of cosmetic and perfume history. Since 1986, Shiseido has systematically collected vintage perfume bottles, inspired by a proposal from French creator Serge Lutens, who is renowned in the fields of fragrance, cosmetics, and visual arts.

The exhibition will feature approximately 100 particularly rare pieces selected from the collection of 300, including works by René Lalique, Baccarat, and Julien Viard. Additionally, the exhibition will present "We Craft 2024 Selection - From Autumn to Winter," a restructured selection of works from the "We Craft" series of exhibitions held at the museum from 2015 to 2023. Another concurrent exhibition, "Sculptors Also Paint - Paintings and Sculptures by Sculptors," will display figurative sculptures by artists such as Katsura Funakoshi, Churyo Sato, and Marino Marini, alongside their paintings.
