Artists

Sander Wassink
While working in Japan, Sander Wassink's daily life primarily involves interactions with European clients through the digital world, using screens, pixels, and virtual communications. Although there are advantages to this digital-centric lifestyle, over time, he began to feel disconnected from the real world outside his studio.

This exhibition is inspired by Wassink's personal quest to reconcile the dissonance between the digital and the real worlds and to address the sense of alienation he has experienced. By distancing himself from the computer and engaging with the physical world, he aims to explore the energy that exists between pixels and particles, digital and physical, isolation and interconnectedness. His works seek to reveal the fundamental energy that animates both our real and digital worlds.

The installation, spread across three floors, includes objects collected by Wassink and a world where digital and nature intersect, all emanating from a tent that he likens to his own land. Additionally, the basement floor (B1F) will feature a space co-curated with the publishing label Rondade, showcasing and selling an art book that summarizes Wassink's activities over the past decade.
