Party Exhibition

Accessory Museum
Finished
The culture of parties has a long history dating back to ancient Egypt and continues to evolve today for various purposes, including escapism, socializing, and personal celebrations. In the early 1930s, costume jewelry gained popularity for its versatility in dressing for both daytime and evening parties, breaking the previous distinction between afternoon tea and evening party attire. During the Great Depression, designers shifted their focus to accessories like costume jewelry and handbags, emphasizing simplicity and practicality in dresses. This exhibition showcases items like dresses, invitations, and bags that are closely linked to the world of fashion and parties throughout history.
