At Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, an exhibition titled "Tenjin, Mume, Nusa" by the artist duo Nerhol (Ryuta Iida & Yoshihisa Tanaka) will showcase their art inspired by dialogue between sculpture and graphic design. Their work reflects encounters with people and places, crossing boundaries to reveal the depth of art. They explore the concept of time at the shrine and use linen (nusa) as a basis for their paper-based art, echoing shrine rituals.

This exhibition, titled with the symbols favored by Tenjin, the deity enshrined at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine also includes cultural assets selected by Nerhol from the shrine's collection.

During their several visits to Dazaifu, the artists walked through the sacred garden and conversed with their subjects. Their words and experiences intertwined with the layered memories of nature, people, objects, and buildings that have been cherished and passed down for over 1100 years, culminating in the act of "sculpting."
