Marina Lisa Komiya
Marina Lisa Komiya is known for projects such as "Breeding Garden," a project to create a garden on land where reconstruction is not possible, and the operation of alternative spaces "Nogata Blank" (2016-2018) and "Komiyahana-ten" (2016-2017). Komiya explores the theme of "new possibilities for reproduction in humanity" starting from her own body, across multiple media including performance, film, and installation.

In this project, a special screening for seven days only will present new video works and installations using drones. Inspired by Margaret Atwood's science fiction novel "The Handmaid's Tale," this work explores the theme of mechanized bodies and sexuality in a world where functions are separated from the body. It raises questions about the future connections of mechanized bodies and sexuality in a world where functions are separated from the body, touching on themes of surveillance and power related to reproduction and asking how they will connect to the future of commercial surrogacy and drone technology used on the battlefield.
