The “It might be Shinsuke Yoshitake’s Exhibition”, which was started at Setagaya Literary Museum (Tokyo) in April 2022, has attracted approximately 700,000 visitors throughout Japan. It will return to Tokyo with “plenty more” artworks including newly installed large-scale hands-on exhibits and products exclusively made for the exhibition!
The exhibition showcases a large number of sketches that Mr. Yoshitake has drawn over the years on his pocket notebooks by observing every-day things around him, as well as some works of brainstorming sketching or rough sketching, and some original drawings that enable visitors to trace the process of his picture book production. It will feature a total of more than 400 items, including Mr. Yoshitake’s favorite collection, which was one of the sources of his inspiration, and the various perspectives will let visitors take a look at what the artist sees “in his mind”.
In addition, the tricks planned by Mr. Yoshitake for this exhibition will also be installed at the venue, such as “annoying adults” that you can throw apples at, and fluffy paths and spiky chairs to experience the world of his picture book, giving visitors glimpses of heaven and hell.

In the venue in Tokyo, several large-scale hands-on exhibits will be exclusively available, as well as additional original drawings for picture books and sketches. The variety of products exclusively made for the exhibition will also be “plentifully increased.”
Plan your visit to “It might be Shinsuke Yoshitake’s exhibition Plenty more” that can be enjoyed for many times, not only for the first time.
