Ippaida Storage, Ippei Nakao
This exhibition features installations and performances by Ippaida Storage and Ippei Nakao, two artists with distinct expressions.

The concept of this exhibition is to explore the relationship between urban landscapes and personal memories or bodies. Modern urban landscapes are transformed by economic instability, demographic changes, new technologies and algorithms, and gentrification. Within this context, the exhibition delves into the sense of "tonchinkan" (a feeling of being out of place or nonsensical) and the Buddhist concepts of "ton-jin-chi" (greed, anger, ignorance).

Ippaida Storage's video footage, shot in their hometown of Miyazaki, captures the intersection of landscape and personal memory. As fragments of memory and bodily sensations intertwine and the timeline shifts, the reality of the artists' existence becomes unstable. This exhibition seeks new meanings in urban landscapes through the use of skin and body, exploring new relationships that transcend time, place, body, and technology.

Through the exhibition, the artists re-examine landscape theory, expressing personal experiences and sensations amid urban changes. They reinterpret the modern urban landscape through their unique perspectives, focusing on the chaos and discomfort brought about by the evolving urban landscape in the face of economic and social upheaval.
