Artists

Tetsuro Kano, Tomoko Sato, Aoi Nagasawa, L Pack.
"Shirakami Glimpse Study" is a research project with the theme of the Shirakami Mountains, located in the southwestern part of Aomori Prefecture and serving as the headwaters of the Iwaki River, which flows through the Tsugaru Plain, including Hirosaki City. Three artists, Tetsuro Kano, Tomoko Sato, and Aoi Nagasawa, will conduct the project, including artwork exhibitions, workshops, and talk events, each offering their unique perspectives. By focusing on the mountains that have long supported people's lives as the source of the river and experiencing the accumulated moments of flora, fauna, and human activities, the project aims to provide an opportunity for the familiar landscapes to appear in a different light.

It is worth noting that this project is held as one of the participating projects in "Aomori Gokan Art Fest 2024," which takes place in five art museums and art centers in Aomori Prefecture, including this venue [Exhibition Period: April 13, 2024 (Saturday) - September 1, 2024 (Sunday)].

Venues: Hirosaki Brick Warehouse Art Museum, Hirosaki Orando, Gallery Mannaka, and others.
