Hikaru Fujii "War is Over"

Tanga Battery Ruins
Finished

Artists

Hikaru Fujii
In Saiki City, which has a history of development as a military city during wartime, many relics from that era remain. One of them is the "Tanga Battery Park," which bears the scars of an explosion that occurred on January 11, 1942. Utilizing the underground ammunition depot as a venue, an exhibition of new video works by the artist and filmmaker Hikaru Fujii will be held. On the 79th anniversary of the end of the war, a day greeted with various emotions by each individual, the citizens of Saiki will present a video work titled "War Is Over," depicting the emotions that would have overwhelmed people on that day when words were insufficient.
