In 2018, the Swedish-based glass artist Yoko Andersson Yamano began a project titled "Glass Tableware in Still Life," she asked 18 painters to depict her glass tableware in still-life paintings. Through the familiar material of glass, which dates to ancient times, Yamano and the painters, who hail from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, created works in dialogues rooted in words and images. The exhibition, which consists primarily of glass tableware, still lifes, and pictures taken in the painters' studios by the photographer Sambe Masahiro, tells the artists' story throughout the entire gallery space.
