Escher
Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972), known simply as Escher, was born in the Netherlands. He is a celebrated printmaker globally renowned for astonishing and enlightening viewers, from mathematicians and artists to children. His works, such as "Tessellations" covering a surface uniformly and "Metamorphosis" where one shape gradually transforms into another, exhibit a meticulous and geometric style that exploits human vision and perception.

This exhibition, with full cooperation from the Escher Foundation in the Netherlands, showcases approximately 160 pieces ranging from early Italian landscapes to iconic optical illusions. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience Escher's works firsthand, including sets inspired by his art. It's an exhibition where we, living in the digital age, can enjoy the charm of Escher, who created imaginative worlds through the medium of printmaking.
