Shohaku Soga, Sessai Mashiyama, Gessen
The exhibition introduces three unique Edo-period painters from Mie Prefecture: Shohaku Soga (1730–1781)—a visionary with a fiery spirit, Gessen (1741–1809)—a monk using art to help the poor, and Sessai Mashiyama (1754–1819)—a lord who cherished art and friendship.
