Dialogue with Painters

Finished

Why do painters paint? Painting is a personal aesthetic process that is completed by a variety of factors, including the preparation of the work and the message it conveys, as well as the formative concerns of the artist.

This exhibition is an attempt to encourage visitors to view the works of art as if they were asking the artist questions or expressing their thoughts. The work on display has been selected from the museum's collection and is relatively large, so hopefully visitors will be able to experience the presence of the work with their entire bodies.

To make the step to a “dialogue with painters" easier, “a certain point of view” has been attached to some of the work through text, but visitors should feel to create their own "explanation and interpretation" of the work. Some perspectives can be gained by copying the works and visitors are welcome to join a workshop.
