Sagamihara Civic Gallery is holding a self-curated exhibition titled "Dazzling Printmaking: Artists from Sagamihara." Since the exhibition "The World of Printmaking Techniques and Beauty" in 1998, Sagamihara Civic Gallery has introduced various printmakers through mini exhibition corners like "Art Spot."

Meanwhile, many printmakers who have continued to grow and thrive in Sagamihara have emerged beyond the scope of these local activities. This exhibition revisits Sagamihara as a base for showcasing printmakers who have been active since the exhibition in '98, now more than a quarter-century later.

This exhibition categorizes the printmakers into three main sections: those who have left significant marks in their careers, those who have contributed to the promotion of art and the nurturing of successors in our city, and those who create works based on familiar subjects.

While the techniques of printmaking vary widely, the artists featured in this exhibition each employ their preferred techniques, resonating with themes that illuminate their unique brilliance. Through this exhibition, the aim is to offer enjoyment and appreciation of the journey of printmaking cultivated in Sagamihara, showcasing diverse printmaking techniques and the unique themes of each artist.
