Beauty Connecting the Imperial Court and Kagawa

The Kagawa Museum
Finished
The Sannomaru Shozokan Gallery, located within the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, houses approximately 6,100 items (about 20,000 pieces) of valuable art and craftwork from ancient to modern times, passed down through generations of the Imperial Family. The gallery is dedicated to the preservation, research, and public display of these items.

This exhibition primarily showcases masterpieces of medieval to modern paintings and works of modern crafts and sculptures, as well as pieces related to Shikoku, including Kagawa Prefecture, among the art treasures stored in the gallery. Through these masterpieces, the aim is to provide an opportunity to feel the connection between the culture of the Imperial Family and Kagawa, and to touch upon the importance of cultural heritage and the history of the region that continues to be passed down to today.
