Ayako Ishiguro "Magical Monsters Parade"

Setagaya Literary Museum
Finished

Artists

Ayako Ishiguro
Ayako Ishiguro paints haunted cats, ghosts, and imaginary creatures with fluid brushstrokes reminiscent of Japanese-style painting. Ishiguro's creatures are colorful, beautiful, lovable, and full of humor, sometimes with a slightly eerie expression, inviting us into another world in the blink of an eye.

This exhibition, Ishikuro's first large-scale solo exhibition, will feature more than 500 works, including the original illustrations for picture books such as "Imouto Kaigi," "Eto Eto Gakusen," and "Nekomata Goyomi," as well as approximately 20 new works newly drawn. A special exhibition with Masayo Imai, a stuffed animal artist, and a new "Imouto Kaigi" motif by Gataro Toy Store will also be on display.
