Art Fair Beppu is an art fair held in Beppu, one of the world's leading hot spring tourist cities. Its main feature is that artists are present at the venue throughout the event. In its inaugural edition last September, 45 groups of artists gathered to exhibit and sell their works. The event saw many visitors from both within and outside the city, concluding successfully.
Currently, more and more artists are relocating to or temporarily staying in Beppu City, seeking a base for their creative work and activities. To further promote this trend, facilities such as the Beppu City Creative Exchange Hub 'Transit' and the rental studio 'Beppu Studio 01' have opened. Art Fair Beppu aims to support the activities of artists in Beppu City, establish a cultural social space, and promote Beppu City to the world, while also creating a new art market.
