Reenactment of Hikaru Fujii's Exhibition "War Art in Japan 1946." This exhibition will introduce the series presented by Hikaru Fujii between 2022 and 2023, as well as reflecting on the nature of reenactments. The exhibition is meant to scrutinize whether war paintings by famous artists were art or propaganda and to determine how confiscated paintings should be handled. Initially held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo in 2022, titled "War Art in Japan 1946," it was recreated online in 2023. During the exhibition period, screenings of "Nuclear and Other Things," focusing on the Great East Japan Earthquake memories, and dialogue lectures between artists and researchers will be featured.
