Tsuneo Enari
Sagamihara-born photographer Tsuneo Enari has consistently focused on the "negative Showa era.” Having documented war brides, Chinese war orphans, and war-torn islands in the Pacific, Enari has also continued to photograph the atomic bomb-stricken cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as the belongings of the atomic bomb survivors. The curators hope that this exhibition will provide an opportunity to reexamine the peace we enjoy today, which came at great cost.
