Makiko Kudo
Makiko Kudo (1978-), born in Aomori Prefecture, graduated from Joshibi University of Art and Design in 2002 with a degree in oil painting. She has maintained a studio in Hiratsuka since 2014 and has been drawing attention since her university days with works shown in exhibitions of contemporary painting. She is an important presence in the Japanese art scene. This exhibition, her first solo show at a museum in Japan, will introduce her career to date with approximately 120 works including new paintings and installations.
