The installation “Beach on Beach” was realized with the cooperation of Salt Group, the designated manager of “Edén," a complex facility with a restaurant and thermal spring spa (natural hot spring spa), which opened on July 30, 2022 (Saturday) in "Katsuura Kainaka Park. This work is also positioned as a precursor to the "Coastline Art Project."
This work is an ecological art or environmental installation work that highlights the impact of man on the beach=prehistoric memory by piling up the beach on the theme of land and utopia in Katsuura. 1.5m high, approximately 70m² of artificial sand beach is set up with parasols and beach chairs. Visitors can actually climb up on the work and spend time as if they were on the beach.
