Kojiro Nose
This solo exhibition by Kojiro Nose, a sculptor active in Okinawa, will be held at three galleries in Okinawa from October to November 2021.

Nose carves and cuts concrete blocks, which are often used in Okinawan architecture, to create his works. He has provided symbolic works for various locations in the prefecture, including the wall reliefs at Sugar Hall in Nanjo, the outdoor sculptures at the Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum, and the Peace Monument at the Okinawa Peace Memorial Hall.

In this exhibition, which is Nose’s first solo exhibition in 33 years since his last one in 1988, he will present a series of concrete blocks “A Peace of Concrete Block” and a series of carved letters “Carved Words”. In addition, there will be over 50 works, including sketches, embossing, and more.
