What Museum opened in December 2020 as an art and culture facility to showcase the valuable artwork received from artists and collectors. The museum displays the thoughts of the artists as well as the passions of the collectors who collect the works, creating a place where people can encounter art.

The Obayashi Collection Exhibition focuses on the impressive collection built up over many years by Takeo Obayashi, who is also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Art Festival Aichi 2022 (Aichi Prefecture). The exhibition will focus on the Obayashi Collection, with three simultaneous exhibitions: “Tadao Ando: Painting,” “Between the City and Me,” and “Self-History.

The Obayashi Collection Exhibition “Self-History” focuses on the contemporary artwork that Obayashi has collected to date, and displays work by about 40 artists that can be considered the culmination of the collection.
