This exhibition will feature 22 new posters on the theme “Mother & Others” in Swiss size, i.e. dimensions somewhat larger than usual. The peerless Nakajo, whose impressive presence utterly defies imitation, will demonstrate his ever-youthful approach to art, belying his 83 years. Nakajo claims that being creative can sometimes be a struggle, but his artistic design knows no end. With creative juices ever-flowing, his work is as inventive as ever, and his zeal for holding a one-man exhibition unabated. The lower level of the gallery will be devoted to Nakajo’s works shown at earlier solo exhibitions as well as his many contributions to Shiseido’s “Hanatsubaki” magazine. Visitors can marvel at how fresh Nakajo’s brilliant and prolific editorial design work for “Hanatsubaki” is even today, a marvel of harmonious compatibility with the most contemporary of designs.
