Garter Gallery is Chim↑Pom and Koshiro Ebata’s new artist-run space in the basement of the Kitakore Building. Originally a jazz bar, it has spent nearly 30 years in derelict condition but will reopen as a space for live performances and other events.
As a pre-opening, over two days Garter Gallery presents the closing event for “Long, Long, Long” (Tomohito Wakui’s current exhibit about data and the internet), plus live events, talks, and performances by artists curated by director Hiroya Kota and others involved with the Kitakore Building. Around 50 people will admitted each day. Please see the official website for reservations.
