Seiji Tsutsumi was a revolutionary businessman behind enterprises including Seiyu Department Store, Parco, FamilyMart, Seibu Credit, Muji, and Yoshinoya, who also became an award-winning poet and novelist, publishing more than 120 works under the pen name Takashi Tsuji. He opened the Sezon Museum of Modern Art in 1981 as a way of reconciling his entrepreneurial and artistic sides.
