Hildesheim Museum's Ancient Egyptian Exhibition

Daimaru Museum Tokyo
Finished
Daimaru Museum presents an exhibition of artifacts from Hildesheim Museum's Egyptian collection. The great Greek historian Herodotus said "Egypt is the gift of the River Nile". Likening the contrast of the fertile greenbelt and vast deserts to the cycle of life and death, the ancient Egyptians believed in rebirth in the afterlife. The Pyramids of Giza and the tomb of King Tutankhamen from the Valley of the Kings are proof of their belief.
This exhibition follows the thoughts of ancient Egyptians from this world to the next through the relics of a great civilization, such as golden mummy masks and colorful caskets.
