In 2024, it will mark 100 years since the death of Seiki Kuroda, the father of modern Western painting in Japan. Four museums in Kagoshima, which house Kuroda's works, are collaborating to honor the artist with special exhibitions. The Nagashima Museum will feature four pieces, including Kuroda's "Summer Grass," alongside works by pioneers Takeji Fujishima and Eisaku Wada.
