Yuyu-kai Japanese Painting Exhibition

The Sato Museum of Art
Finished
This exhibition is a group show by members of Tokyo Yuyu-kai. Tokyo Yuyu-kai is a study group primarily composed of current students and graduates of Kyoto University of Art and Design's Japanese painting program. Established over five years ago, their regular activities include sketching sessions, model drawing, and technique studies. While they have held small artwork exhibitions annually, this is their first exhibition showcasing larger works in an art museum.

The exhibition features pieces such as scrolls and hanging scrolls. Many of these works are graduation or completion projects. Additionally, a ceiling painting of lilies, created as a common assignment in university classes, in the style of a coffered ceiling is on display.
