Yumeji Takehisa
Yumeji Takehisa (1884-1934), a prominent Taisho Roman painter, joined the Yomiuri Shimbun in April 1907. At 22, Takehisa contributed vibrant current event sketches and serialized travel writings. This exhibition highlights Takehisa’s journalistic work, related articles, and the connection between news from the late Meiji to early Showa periods and the artist's creations, showcasing the relationship between Takehisa and the newspaper.
