Yumeji Takehisa
The exhibition celebrates Yumeji Takehisa, a multi-talented artist from Okayama known for influencing fashion and art during the Taisho era. Takehisa's work as an illustrator, designer, and poet-painter left a significant impact, particularly on women's fashion. The exhibition showcases the fashion trends of the time, including makeup, beauty techniques, hairstyles, and accessories influenced by Western culture. In honor of Takehisa's 140th birthday, the exhibition collaborates with local universities for workshops and special photo spots, aiming to highlight Takehisa's enduring appeal and engage young students in the artist's hometown.
