A history of East Asian art research by an art historian who loved art, and whose ideal was to create a museum where people could view artworks while enjoying the beauty of nature.

Yukio Yashiro was an art historian who researched Botticelli’s works. He compiled an East Asian art collection that has become the core exhibit of the Museum Yamato Bunkakan, where he served as its first director. The exhibition traces the footsteps and viewpoints of studies on East Asian art from Yashiro's perspective of appreciation of art.
